This seminar focuses on the well-being and happiness of secondary school students, bringing together perspectives from both research and real-world practice. The session features a guest talk by the CEO of CityLab, a non-governmental organisation dedicated to enhancing youth well-being through innovative, community-based initiatives.
In addition, three groups of undergraduate students will present findings from their student-led research projects, based on questionnaires and interviews. Their studies explore the impact of mindfulness practices, romantic relationships, and religious belief on secondary school students’ happiness. By linking empirical inquiry with practical experience, the seminar aims to deepen understanding of adolescent well-being and to encourage reflection on how research and community action can together support young people’s happiness.
