IWW 2024 Literary Festival - Chinese Writing Workshop: “The Music of Cantonese Poetry”

Hong Kong poets often draw inspiration from international poetry. They are also good at "using local materials." They not only weave what they see and feel into their poems, but they also write and read their works in their mother tongue. Poet Keith Liu will use lyrics, naamyam, and modern poetry as examples to explore the music of Cantonese and its possibilities in the creation of modern poetry.
香港的詩人常常從國際詩歌吸取養分，同時也善於「就地取材」，不單把生活上所見所感織進詩句之間，更以母語創作和朗讀自己的作品。池荒懸將以歌詞、南音和現代詩作為例子，和學員一起去探索廣東話的聲音特性，及其在現代詩創作上的一些可能性。
