Let’s get the creative juices flowing and make use of design-thinking skills to reduce food waste!
Food waste has been a huge problem worldwide and is responsible for 10% of our global greenhouse gas emissions. In Hong Kong, it constitutes the largest municipal solid waste in the landfills, which are expected to be full very soon. More alarmingly, even though various local food waste reduction campaigns have been carried out for over ten years, the problem still persists.
In this workshop, you will be introduced to the food waste issue in Hong Kong as well as the challenges faced by the existing reduction campaigns. With TriAngle as the facilitator, you will be able to work in groups with other students to use simple design-thinking methodology and brainstorm new food waste reduction ideas together.
