Hydrotherapy Visit

Career Exploration Trip: GBA 2023 - Shenzhen

The third Career Exploration Trip: GBA 2023, co-organised by the Career Centre and and Yang Hall of the Undergraduate Halls, has been successfully held earlier this week.

Around 30 HKBU students from various disciplines including Chinese Medicine, Nursing, Computer Science and others were warmly welcomed by the Asia Pacific Hydrotherapy Rehabilitation Research Center, the first ever aquatic sports rehabilitation center in Shenzhen. Students experienced firsthand the hydrotherapy rehabilitation technology and gait-analysis by AI.

Taking advantage of the characteristics of water, including its buoyancy, resistance and pressure, as well as utilising technologies, hydrotherapy excels in flow rehabilitation training, gait training, weight loss training, etc. It facilitates disease treatment and improves rehabilitation effects.

Having observed up close and experienced the hydrotherapy and rehabilitation facilities and technologies, students have been inspired when planning for their future career.
