A Dialogue about Career Readiness in a Multicultural World Career Talk🌍
In a world that is more connected than ever, we are inevitable to meet and work with people from different countries and regions, both at school and in the workplace.
To help our student understand the why multicultural background and mindset are crucial, we are delighted to host Mr. Michael Yue, Director of Partnership Development at Vancouver Community College and President of the Western Canada Career Development Association, for a unique session, "A Dialogue about Career Readiness in a Multicultural World" on 17 November.
Michael generously shared his personal journey and experiences, using his story as a powerful lens to explore what it truly means to develop a multicultural mindset and how impactful it can be in daily life and work place. Through his authentic sharing, students uncovered how multicultural perspective directly fuels key "human skills" like:
🤝 Compassionate communication
🧠 Critical thinking
🔄 Adaptability
🎨 Creativity
The session unfolded into a rich discussion, allowing students and Michael to connect, share their own perspectives, and learn from other's multicultural experience.
Our deepest gratitude to Michael, for preparing such a meaningful and inspiring dialogue for our students during his holiday. A special thanks also goes to HKBU Graduate School for inviting Micheal and making this valuable session possible.
We are excited to see our students build their futures with a multicultural mindset.
