Requirement

CCL is not credit-bearing but required for graduation. The requirement of CCL fulfilment may vary with details as follows:

For Freshmen (Year-1 students):

Students are required to complete at least 8 CCL items organised by the Office of Student Affairs and/or other departments and offices at HKBU by the end of the 4th semester of their studies at HKBU.

Students who have not fulfilled the CCL requirement will NOT be able to pre-register for courses in the 5th semester and/or graduate.

All new entrants in 2021 or later: 2 out of the required CCL units must be taken on National Security Law Education (course code: NSLE0001).

 

For Year-2 & Year-3 entries:

The requirement varies according to the number of credits transferred and approved exemptions. Students have to complete the CCL items required by the end of the 3rd semester of their studies at HKBU.

Students who have not fulfilled the CCL requirement will NOT be able to pre-register for courses in the 4th semester and/or graduate.

All new entrants in 2021 or later: 2 out of the required CCL units must be taken on National Security Law Education (course code: NSLE0001).

 

After fulfilling the CCL minimum attendance requirement, students are encouraged to actively continue their participation in different CCL events and activities for the benefit of their personal growth and development throughout their university life.
