    Wofoo Foundation Outstanding Leaders Awards (WOLA)

    The “Wofoo Foundation Outstanding Leaders Awards” is established through endowment from Wofoo Foundation. The Awards recognize outstanding students whose demonstration on leadership, service and civic education has made a significant impact within the University and the community. The Scholarship affirms present achievement, seek to encourage further work on the part of the awardees, and hope to motivate peers to follow their lead in service, to promote civic responsibilities and enhance sense of belongings to Hong Kong community and our Country as a whole, thus building up a harmonious society. Besides, Awardees shall be invited to join as youth fellows of Wofoo Social Enterprises (WSE) and peer leaders of Wofoo Leaders’ Network (WLN) to serve the community and to promote civic education.     HKSAR Government Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme 2017/18

    To promote the development of the self-financing post-secondary sector, the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) is set up by the HKSAR Government under the Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund to offer scholarships and awards to students pursuing full-time Higher Diploma in Film (HD in Film) and Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) in Accountancy (BCom Accountancy) programmes at HKBU. For the 2017/18 academic year, there are four types of scholarships offered under the Scheme for our University:

     

    1) Outstanding Performance Scholarship (OPS)

    2) Talent Development Scholarship (TDS)

    3) Reaching Out Award (ROA)

    4) Best Progress Award (BPA)

    Note: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances, such as extreme weather, that resulted in the sudden closure of SFA Counter on the day of the deadline, SFA will extend the deadline of application to 5:30pm of the following working day.

    Eric Henry Liddell Memorial Scholarship 2017/18

    Mr. Eric Henry Liddell (李愛銳先生) was a famous Scottish track and field athlete and missionary, who won gold and bronze medals respectively in the 400- and 200-meter races at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris. After the Olympics, he came to China as a missionary. Insisted to stay in China to serve the impoverished even during the Japanese invasion, Liddell suffered from sickness and passed away at a Japanese concentration camp. The Scholarship was established in memory of Mr. Eric Henry Liddell and his fighting spirit, respectable ambitions, persistence in carrying out virtuous deeds, willingness to travel afar, deep concerns for the welfare of Chinese people and passion to serve the community, as well as his accomplishments in the field of sports.

     

    For the 2017/18 academic year, up to 7 scholarship awards of HK$5,000 to HK$10,000 each are available to students with outstanding performance in various aspects.Please click here for more details.

    The ALLEX Scholarship 2018

    The ALLEX Scholarship awards students who want to pursue their second degree or master programme in USA, and wish to become a short term language teacher at one of the designated universities in USA. The scholarship covers the tuition fee, hostel fee and meal expenses. The scholarship is open for application now, please click here for more information.

    Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme 2018-19

    The Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme (HKSES) aims to support local students to pursue studies in world renowned universities outside Hong Kong, with a view to grooming a top cadre of talents with global vision, international network and world-class education, thereby contributing to enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness as Asia’s World City in a globalised knowledge economy. The scheme also seeks to support those students who have excellent academic achievement but lack the financial means to study in top-notch universities outside Hong Kong. Please click here for more details.
