The Hong Kong Branch of the Bristol University Alumni Association in Hong Kong is offering a scholarship to a suitably qualified student from Hong Kong going to Bristol for post-graduate studies in the academic year commencing in October 2020. The Scholarship will be available in conjunction with a postgraduate Master’s degree programme in any field of study with maximum programme length of two years, and is intended to assist with tuition fees payable to the University, up to a maximum of £15,000 per programme. In order to encourage students to develop their talents in other areas in addition to their academic study, the Talent Development Scholarship (TDS) was established by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government to give recognition to students who have demonstrated achievement or talent in non-academic areas and provide support for them to further develop their talent and potential. For 2019/20, up to 100 TDS awards at HK$10,000 each will be awarded to eligible full-time local and non-local undergraduate students studying in any discipline (UGC-funded programmes only). Note: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances, such as extreme weather, that resulted in the sudden closure of SFA Counter on the day of the deadline, SFA will extend the deadline of hard copy application form submission to 5:30pm of the following working day. However, the online application platform will close as scheduled, and no extension will be offered.

Jointly sponsored and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission and HSBC, the Innovation and Technology Scholarship was established to provide outstanding undergraduates of Hong Kong the opportunities to widen their international exposure, gaining industry experience, and nurture their passion and commitment toward science and technology. Twenty-five science undergraduates, to be nominated by the Presidents / Vice-Chancellors of local universities and selected by an Awardee Selection Committee, will each be awarded a scholarship of up to HKD150,000 for a series of learning programmes, including Overseas or Mainland Attachment Programme, Mentorship Programme, Local Internship Programme and Service Project Programme. HSBC has a long history of supporting educational activities and nurturing young people for the betterment of the community. For the 2019/20 academic year, HSBC is offering HSBC Hong Kong Scholarship, at HK$50,000 each, to up to six HKBU local full-time undergraduate students. The Bank of East Asia, Limited (BEA) has established the BEA Inspiring Student Scholarship to give recognition to deserving undergraduate students with special educational needs (SEN) in the pursuit of excellence in academic and other areas. Only students with "special educational needs" as defined in the Hong Kong Rehabilitation Programme Plan issued by the Labour and Welfare Bureau of the HKSAR Government and confirmed by a medical professional are eligible to apply for the Scholarship. This includes students with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders, autism, hearing impairment, intellectual disabilities, mental illness, physical disabilities, specific learning difficulties, speech impairment, visceral disability, and visual impairment.
Up to 10 scholarship awards at HK$20,000 each will be offered in the 2019/20 academic year for eligible students in Hong Kong. HKBU will nominate up to 5 students to compete with other local university undergraduate students for the awards.
