About the Subsidy

The subsidy serves to encourage students who wish to pursue their careers in the securities or finance industry to take the HKSI LE Papers 1, 7 & 8. The LE is recognised by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) as the local regulatory framework papers for applying their licences.

Each successful applicant will get a 50% subsidy of the examination fee upon passing a paper.

  • Please complete the application form here. DO NOT sign up for the examination(s) before getting the approval from the Career Centre (submission of the application form does not indicate that your application is being approved).

 

What is LE?

Upon the passing of LE Papers 1, 7 and 8, the candidate will obtain the HKSI Institute Practising Certificate – Securities and he/she will be eligible to apply for a licence from SFC and carry out three common types of Regulated Activity (RA): Type 1 - Dealing in securities, Type 4 - Advising on securities & Type 8 - Securities margin financing.
