Exploring Innovation in Zhuhai: GBA Start‑up Exploration Trip Highlights

We wrapped up the GBA Start up Exploration Trip to Zhuhai on 1 April 2026, with students and colleagues spending a fulfilling day exploring university innovation, entrepreneurship support, and cultural revitalization in the Greater Bay Area. 💡

The visit began at the Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) Innovation Centre, where participants explored a modern joint university campus and learned about China’s tertiary education innovation ecosystem, university led entrepreneurship support, and potential opportunities for student start-up teams.  During the visit, two startup teams from each university were invited to present their projects, fostering a fruitful exchange of ideas and expertise.

Participants then visited the Guangdong Zhuhai Public Entrepreneurship Incubation (Training) Base, gaining valuable insights into the local start up ecosystem and understanding how emerging businesses are nurtured and supported in Zhuhai.

This trip not only broadened students’ horizons but also helped build meaningful connections between both institutions and fostering partnerships. We hope students will leverage support from both Hong Kong and Zhuhai and collaborate on innovative ventures in the future! 🌟
