Mr. Ben CHOY, Member, ACGE

General Manager– Finance & Group Tax, Tencent Holdings Limited

Mr. Ben Choy is the General Manager-Finance and Group Tax Director of Tencent Holdings Limited with internet users around the world. He oversees the Group’s overall tax strategies and tax efficiencies, including group tax planning, M&A structuring, HR C&B tax efficiency, and tax modelling in cross-border business operations, implementation of technology in improving operational efficiencies, etc.

Mr. Choy has more than 13 years of tax management experience in a PRC-based global internet company and more than 16 years’ professional experience in Big 4 accounting firms. 

Mr. Choy holds a bachelor’s degree from the Mathematics Faculty of University of Waterloo, Canada, with a major in Accounting and Information Systems. He also holds a Master of Finance degree from Curtin University of Technology, Australia.

Mr. Choy holds professional memberships in HKICPA, CPA Canada, AICPA, CPA Australia and TIHK. He is a Council Member of Taxation Institution of Hong Kong,  a Secretary of Institute of Accountants Exchange, a Honorary Council Member of  China Certified Tax Agents Association and a Member of the Advisory Committee on Graduate Employment of Hong Kong Baptist University.
