MoldPlay: Fermentation in Motion

In collaboration with Dr. Patrick Yue (BIOL4015 Fermentation and Enzyme Technology) and Dr. Martin Choy (COMP2055 Interactive Media App Development), MoldPlay: Fermentation in Motion brings together 41 students from both cohorts to work in mixed teams. They transform scientific knowledge and laboratory experiences into game mechanics, visual systems, and sound, culminating in interactive games. Inspired by the workshop Graphic Intelligence: How Rhythm Drives Insight, students further develop their concepts through rhythmic graphics.

This showcase features four educational games focused on the fermentation process and seven conceptual graphics that communicate the ideas behind them.
