Collaborate with SOWK 2005 Human Behaviour and Diversity, this 12-hour workshop provides students with a multi-dimensional framework to explore the dynamics of oppression, discrimination, and privilege. We aim to rethink prejudice and engage with the complexities of human experiences while fostering inclusive dialogue. By utilizing the transformative power of music and video footage, we seek to inspire change and enhance understanding within our communities on critical topics, including:

Emerald Lee (Sonic)
Founder of Time Will Tell Ltd. and a founding member of the Hong Kong independent band DE TESLA, he has made multifaceted contributions to music and the arts, inspiring community engagement and cultural innovation in Hong Kong. He was invited by GIAF (Korea) to share insights on Hong Kong's social innovation and arts scene.
As a versatile member of DE TESLA, he serves as composer, lyricist, performer, and organizer. He has successfully curated and coordinated over 30 community-focused music events, including the Barter Concert, Within10mins and Own It! Now or Never Series.
Under Emerald's leadership, Time Will Tell Ltd. specializes in brand storytelling and narrative development. In just one year, the company has collaborated with over 20 organizations on notable projects, including the City Marathon and Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop, a Michelin Guide restaurant.
By integrating technology with Hong Kong heritage, Emerald collaborated with the startup team Storius and secured HKD 1.2 million from the City University of Hong Kong's HK Tech 300 Angel Fund in 2022.
Additionally, Emerald has been involved in various composition projects, such as the film 3CM, directed by Wong Siu-pong, which premiered at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival and won the Hong Kong Film Critics Society's Best Film of the Year. His commercial works include the theme song for the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix and the ending theme for the Japanese animation C団地 (C-Danchi).
Kessay Chan
Kessay Chan is an active figure in the local a cappella scene, specializing in education, arrangement, and performance. He is also a music video director and photographer.
Chan was named one of the Top 10 Young Artists of 2019 and won the Singapore A Cappella Championship Loopstation in both 2018 and 2019. He was invited to share his a cappella journey at a TEDx forum. His performances have taken him to Dubai, Serbia, and San Francisco, among other places. In recent years, he has shared a cappella music with family audiences through various local channels such as i-Cable TV, RTHK, ViuTV, and Hong Kong Open TV.
Chan was fully funded by the HKSAR Government's Multi-faceted Excellence Scholarship to study at the Chinese University of Hong Kong's Music Department, where he graduated under the tutelage of Mr. Wu Wing-ching, majoring in vocal studies. During his studies, he researched a cappella education for the elderly and graduated with Distinction in Trinity ATCL Piano. In 2019, he founded Tin Shui Wai Sing, which was rebranded as Wai Sing Music in 2021.
In 2022, Chan was invited by Yat Po Singers to serve as the project director for the 18dART Community Arts Scheme organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, assisting in a cappella education and performances in Yuen Long. The same year, he founded several initiatives under Wai Sing Music, including the Mutual Growth Program, Aca Live Streaming, and co-founded Vomakase. In 2023, Chan served as the a cappella consultant for the Hong Kong Arts Festival's "Urban Romance Salon" a cappella concert.
Joseph Ho
Joseph Ho is a music producer, a cappella singer, and instructor. He is a member of the a cappella groups Set Tone Men and Zense. His recent performances include: Wong Yik - The One I Love Concert 2018, Hong Kong A Cappella Festival, Yat Po Singers' Victoria Narrates, Sound of Singers - A Cappella Appreciation, Reunion · In the Mood for Love at the Local Ginger Music Festival 2017, and Eman Lam x Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra - The Hardest Song to Sing. As an a cappella artist or backing vocalist, he has collaborated with renowned singers such as Joey Yung, Phil Lam, Hugo Ng, Cath Wong, Chet Lam, Eman Lam, Siu Fei, Jonathan Wong, Vincy Chan, AGA, and Robynn & Kendy.
Joseph is also actively involved in various music production and composition projects. He has worked as an arranger or producer for local independent singers and religious music albums. In 2018-19, he served as music director and composition mentor for the MaD Asia Co-Create project Everyone's Photo Music Society - Sai Wan Reappearance, where he guided participants in creating community-themed music compositions.
