Hong Kong Culture and Sustainability Centre founded in 2025, led by Founder and Executive Director Louis Yu, the Centre organises the annual Hong Kong Culture and Sustainability Conference.
The objective of the Centre is to bring together stakeholders from the culture, business, environment, innovative technology, social services, and education sectors to promote sustainable development through arts and culture in Hong Kong, mainland China and the Asia.
The theme of Hong Kong Culture and Sustainability Conference 2026 (CU:SU 2026) is “Alliance for Action”, which builds on the momentum of CU:SU 2025 discussions on “Advocacy, Practice, and Conservation”. CU:SU 2026 focuses on how ideas move into actions through international alliances and cross-disciplinary collaboration, responding to the broader needs of sustainable development through culture.
CU:SU 2026 brings together artists and practitioners from diverse cultural networks over two days of encounters and exchanges, opening different ways of imagining and enacting practice. Day One turns to the performing arts, reflecting on its ecosystem, modes of collaboration, and how practice is sustained and renewed across changing contexts. Day Two shifts focus to the making of sustainable communities, drawing on practices from rural contexts, visual culture, and social innovation to examine how culture can foster connection, support wellbeing, and invite wider forms of participation.

| SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy | |
| We are Light For All, a team focusing on SDG7 — Affordable and Clean Energy. Our mission is to share why clean energy matters. “Light” stands for clean energy powering our world. “For All” means clean energy should be accessible to everyone, anywhere. | 2. | We11 |
| SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities | |
| WE11 believe that smart, green designs can make communities better.. Our team has planned an educational event for Primary 6 students to introduce SDG 11, which aims to make cities and communities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. We believe that a better community is shaped by the places people share and the choices they make every day. Green spaces, thoughtful building design and responsible use of resources can all help improve urban life. Through We11, we hope to help students understand these ideas and see how sustainability relates to their own surroundings. The event will give students a chance to learn in an engaging way. | |

| 3. | Ecopoly |
| SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production | |
| EcoPoly is a student-led team empowering Primary 6 students to make responsible everyday choices for a greener future. Through our 45-minute SDG 12 workshop, Think Twice: A Second Life Challenge, we aim to help students recognize that everyday consumption choices have environmental consequences. We encourage them to pause before buying or throwing things away, consider reuse and repair, and see how small actions can reduce waste. The workshop also develops teamwork and discussion skills, as well as confidence in explaining sustainable choices. Our goal is for participants to carry one message with them beyond the classroom: Responsible Choices, Greener Future! | |

| 6. | MentalpAI |
| SDG3: Good Health and Wellbeing | |
MentalpAI is an AI-powered mental health companion designed to support adolescents’ emotional well-being through daily conversations and early psychological support. Unlike traditional mental health services that are often reactive, MentalpAI proactively initiates interactions, engages users in casual and emotionally supportive conversations, and encourages self-reflection in a safe and non-judgmental environment. The platform also incorporates simple Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) wellness concepts, such as emotional balance and lifestyle regulation, to promote a holistic understanding of mental health. By fostering long-term, natural interactions, MentalpAI aims to help teenagers gradually build emotional resilience and healthier coping habits in their everyday lives. | 7. | JustAsk |
| SDG 4: Quality Education | |
| JUST ASK is our student-led mission to close Hong Kong’s elderly digital divide. We’ve already listened closely, connecting with 100 seniors to uncover their real smartphone struggles—and we will host practical, down-to-earth mobile workshops to help them master essential digital skills. Looking ahead, we aim to build a sustainable, peer-support model: designing tailored training modules, and exploring the possibility of empowering elderly peer trainers to lead sessions in future. This would create a safe, relatable learning space, turning learners into helpers and growing a community that supports itself long-term. | |
