Operating Yamaha CL3 and DM3 digital mixers
System and stage patching, I/O routing, and Dante basics
Gain staging, EQ, dynamics, and effects for musical clarity
Soundcheck workflow, changeover efficiency, and show calling etiquette
Mic and speaker placement, DI usage, and line checks
Troubleshooting hums, buzzes, feedback, and signal dropouts
Safety and best practices for working in live venues
Mr. Lai Ching Kong (King Kong)
Mr. Lai is a renowned music producer specialising in live audio and audio recording engineering. He is the director, producer and sound engineer of NOVA Studio and works on a wide range of music production including Canto-pop, instrumental music, Christian music, and Cantonese Opera. His interests also include music technology for media and popular music production.
UGC students with basic knowledge of audio mixers. Priority will be given to applicants with experience in audio operations.
