Eligibility
The eligibility for this tour is based on the "Funding Scheme for Youth Exchange in the Mainland 青年內地交流資助計劃2025-2026" organised by the Youth Development Commission. Participants are required to:
- Be aged between 12 and 35 (as of the departure date).
- (i) Hold a valid Hong Kong permanent resident identity card;or
(ii) Hold a valid Hong Kong resident identity card and be enrolled in a full-time programme in Hong Kong.
- Join no more than two mainland exchange programmes under this funding scheme during the current year (2025-2026), regardless of whether they are organised by the same group.
(Note: Participants are required to submit a declaration, and full payment with a refund issued later.)
- Priority will be given to UGC-funded undergraduate students and those who have never visited mainland China.
- Funded organisations must obtain participants' consent and disclose the personal information provided in the application form to the Secretariat. This information will be used by the government for surveys, evaluation studies, training/sharing sessions, programme monitoring, compliance with legal disclosure requirements, and other related purposes. The government reserves the right to disclose the information provided by applicant organizations to third parties for application assessment and programme improvement.
Eligibility for the "Subsidy to Grassroots Youth for Participating in Exchange Activities Outside Hong Kong 基層青年境外交流資助試行計劃":
- Currently receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA 綜援); or
- Receiving full grant under the “School Textbook Assistance Scheme 學校書簿津貼計劃” or full tuition assistance under means-tested schemes administered by the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (學生資助處全額資助).
Notes to applicants:
- Costs include flight ticket, accommodation and activities arranged by LIVE, excluding some of the meals and visa.
- Successful applicants will be notified shortly after the screening interview.
- To indicate the acceptance of the offer, the programme fee has to be settled before the given deadline. All fees paid are non-refundable.
- Successful applicants must fulfill the travel requirements (if any) as required by the country and bear their own costs of visa application (if applicable).
