Research shows self-compassion reduces stress levels, anxiety, depression, shame, fear of failure etc. and increases life satisfaction, coping resilience, motivation etc.
In this activity-based workshop, we will experience first hand the power of self-compassion, a very useful skill that we can benefit from in difficult times.

Host: Ms. Cheryl YUNG
Cheryl is a yoga instructor and dance meditation facilitator. She was drawn to yoga as a remedy for her back pain in the beginning. The calmness and mindfulness qualities of yoga and meditation practices then become the pillars of her life.
She is an advocate of mindfulness, self-compassion, mental health and self-inquiry, and believes that the way to create a better world is to start from within, by taking care of one’s mind, body and heart.
Cheryl is an HKBU graduate and a Hall Advisor of the Undergraduate Halls.
