Like other advanced economies, the ageing trend is becoming a major concern in Hong Kong. Maintaining intrinsic capacity (IC), comprising cognition, mobility, psychological, vitality, and sensory functions, among middle-aged and elderly people is of utmost importance, and requires the collaborative efforts of multiple health care disciplines.

In this CCL recognised seminar, the representative from the Jockey Club CADENZA Hub (JCCH), a one-stop integrated medical and social care centre in Tai Po, will share the experiences of encouraging people aged 50 or above to live a healthier lifestyle and raising public awareness of primary healthcare via its community health education programmes, and health management and support services.

Platform:  Zoom
Medium:  English
Speaker:   Ms. Angel HUI
Centre Manager & Senior Physiotherapist of Jockey Club CADENZA Hub
About Jockey Club CADENZA Hub (JCCH):

Established in 2009 with funding from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club CADENZA Hub (JCCH) is a one-stop integrated medical and social care centre that promotes the importance of primary healthcare among people aged 50 or above. Its multidisciplinary team provides one-stop health management and support services, such as health screening, nurse consultation, physical therapy, comprehensive vision examinations, fitness training, health talks, etc. Interactive rehabilitation training services for discharged stroke patients and day care service for dementia patients are also provided to those in need to facilitate ageing in place.

JCCH hopes to further raise public awareness of primary healthcare among middle-aged and elderly people by organising community health education programmes, encouraging them to live a healthier lifestyle and building Hong Kong into an age-friendly city.
