[UG] Colour Your Dream: A Virtual Community Service and Cultural Programme in Indonesia 2022-23
Have you planned for your semester break? Here is the best way to maximize the impact of each day --- In the Morning Help develop English language skills of underserved Indonesian youths and learn about their culture And spend the rest of your day for your other personal engagement!
The programme aims to empower and support youths in rural and suburban areas in Indonesia by providing them the education improvement they need in order to become agents of sustainable change and development in their communities. Through the service and cultural exchange programme, our volunteers could gain teaching experience, learn about Indonesia, know new friends and attain crucial soft skills like communication, leadership and global citizenship etc.
Date: 31 December 2022 – 6 January 2023
Time: 9 am - 1 pm (on 31 Dec, only 9 am - 10 am)

Duties <all conducted via zoom>:
31 Dec - Training on how to conduct virtual teaching sessions and Preparation on English Teaching Class
2 Jan to 6 Jan - English lessons delivered by HKBU students in pairs for 2-3 Indonesian Youths + Indonesia Cultural Activities/ Language Class/ Global Citizen Leadership Training provided by coordinators in Indonesia & USA
Refundable Deposit: HK$ 500 (fully refundable upon completion)
Recognition: On successful completion, participants will receive 1) a full refund, 2) a certificate and 3) CCL
Eligibility: Open to all UGC-funded degree seeking Undergraduate students, with priority to Halls residents
Major Medium of Instruction: English
