Full-time Exchange Postgraduate Students
- According to the University's Housing Policy, UGC-funded full-time exchange research postgraduate students will be accommodated in the University accommodation during the exchange period, which shall be fixed according to the exchange term as agreed by Hong Kong Baptist University and the home university.
- A successful applicant will receive an email notification. He / She should follow the instruction and indicate his / her acceptance of the bed space offer. If he / she fails to respond before the specified deadline by settling the accommodation fee and associated fees (i.e. caution money and student activity annual fee), the bed space offer will automatically be forfeited.
- There is no guarantee that bed space can be provided due to limited capacity.

Notes:
i. Accommodation fees include Internet service, water and electricity charges.
ii. In addition to lodging fees, all residents need to pay a Caution Money (HK$3,000) and a student activity fee (HK$100).
iii. Monthly and daily rates shall be applied only when a student is approved for bed space at NTTIH under the following circumstances:
- A resident whose first year of study starts or last year of study ends in the middle of the academic year.
- An exchange postgraduate student who wishes to stay in NTTIH outside the normal 10-month accommodation period, subject to room availability and management approval.

Successful applicants should confirm their acceptance of the bed space offer and settle the student accommodation fees by a specified deadline. Failure to pay the fees on time or using improper payment methods will result in forfeiture of the bed space offer. Requests for resuming the declined offers will not be considered. Paid fees (except Caution Money) are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Payment Method
A Student Accommodation Fee debit note will be posted in the BUniPort. Please make sure you have input:
1. Bill type, and
2. Debit note number

during your payment process. Direct transfer of money to University bank account is NOT considered as successful payment. Please click HERE for detailed payment methods. You should keep good custody of the payment record and be able to present it upon request.
Deferred payment of Student Accommodation Fees is not acceptable. Subject to special prior approval, a penalty of HK$300 will be levied on students who pay the Student Accommodation Fees after the deadline.

Change of Student Residence application information is allowed before the application deadline.
An acknowledgement email will be sent to you shortly after you have successfully submitted or edited the Student Residence application. If you do not receive the acknowledgment email, please contact the Student Accommodation Section as soon as possible.
All personal data collected and retained will be used for processing applications, statistical analysis, management of student residences including the enforcement of all its related rules, promotion of activities and notifications, contacting residents and their parents/guardian in case of emergency and such other purposes permissible under the Privacy Policy Statement and Personal Information Collection Statement of the University.
