Mainland and Overseas Service Trip
On top of the regular annual service programmes, the Undergraduate Halls provides different kind of mainland and overseas service trips that fit societal needs and residents’ interest. The service trips raise students’ awareness on global citizenship and promote servant leadership.
Examples include:
- Y.P. Cai Hall Overseas Service Trip in Myanmar: to provide service in rural Myanmar in cooperation with Chinese Medicine For All (全仁中醫).
- Yangdong Cai Yuanpei School Service Trip: Yangdong Cai Yuanpei School (Cai School) is located in Yangdong, Guangdong Province. It is founded in 2007 and is the first project of the Cai Education Fund organised by a group of alumni of Y.P. Cai Hall. Every year, residents of Y.P. Cai Hall form committee to organise service trip to Cai School. Residents engage in teaching service to promote Mr. Cai Yuanpei's education philosophy. Over the years, a strong bonding is built between YP CAI Hall and Cai School.
- Study Tour on Elderly Care in Taiwan: to visit and provide service to elderly in Taiwan; to study the development of elderly care service in Taiwan in order to improve service provision in Hong Kong.
- C.N. Yang Hall : A step into Past Cultural Exchange Tour in Xi’an, China: to visit and provide service to elderly in Xi’an.
