[UG] Resident Initiative Award (RIA)
Residents of the Undergraduate Halls (Halls) are encouraged to organise programmes that promote the development dimensions of Hall Life Education at the Halls. The programmes should be targeted to current Halls residents and arranged on or off-campus. The development dimensions are Residents’ Bondedness, Community Engagement, Personal Enrichment and Green & Health Mindfulness. (For details of the four dimensions: https://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/sas/hle/page/detail/7281). Successful applicants can receive up to HK$5,000 to run the programme.

[UG] Community Engagement Organisers - Elderly Care Programme
Have you ever thought of serving the elderly in need in the neighboring community with the talents and gifts you have? In Hong Kong today, more than 120,000 elderly who are aged 65 or above live alone and many of them are socially inactive due to multiple reasons including physical and mental health conditions. Here in the Student Residence Hall, we have a burden to serve the community and we would like to partner with you all in making a difference.

Pitch your idea to win a HK$10,000 award!
The Undergraduate Halls (Halls) aims to provide a safe and comfortable living and learning environment conducive to whole-person development of all local and non-local students. The Halls Think Tank Award (HTT) is a platform that invites residents to work in groups and propose innovative and practical resident-oriented ideas to improve hall life experience of residents. The idea could cover any topics related to hall life including hall life education, administration and infrastructure, etc.- Programme Period

[UG] Green Quest: Local Project Internship 2020-21
When you draw “the Earth”… probably you will draw a circle with masses of green lands and blue oceans. But when you look out from the windows 30 years later, will it be the same?
In collaboration with World Wild Fund- Hong Kong (WWF-HK), the Undergraduate Halls (UGH) is recruiting Green Questers who are devoted to promoting green and sustainability in the Halls and in Hong Kong. Workshops on sustainability and project management will be provided before a student-initiated project internship supervised by WWF-HK and UGH. Under the internship, students will work in small teams to brainstorm and implement green projects at their own choice.

Community Engagement Organisers (CEOs):
Internship Programme on Brain Health in Positive Ageing
Supervised by Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing (賽馬會耆智園)In contemporary society, physical health is not the only concern but also brain health. We cannot avoid getting old but we can live positively if there is a proper support for people with cognitive impairment.
In this internship programme, participants will be trained to host post-diagnostic support and self-management sessions to elderly with mild dementia (輕度認知障礙及早期腦退化症人士自我管理小組), under the supervision of specialists from the Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing. The programme is tailor-made for HKBU undergraduate students, priority to UGH residents.
