Community & U
We engage our residents in different settings such as within the hall, university body and beyond the campus. Residents are involved in different Hall Consultative Groups and Committees to contribute to the well-being of their fellow residents. A supportive and harmonious atmosphere has also been built among the four student residence halls through a wide range of inter-hall activities. Local and overseas outreach activities have been conducted to involve residents in the service and care to the less fortunate and needy. The process of planning and executing such programmes by our student leaders would allow them to engage the community outside the lecture halls and learn important life lessons.
The following are highlights of some activities and events in promoting engagement with different communities:
- Local Services: Community Engagement Organisers Positive Ageing Learners Programme (CEOs-PAL), PUNCH For Your Health, PLUS+ Ambassador programme, Bathroom Rescue Project and WhatsApp Messenger
- Overseas Service: Colour Your Dream: Overseas Service Learning Trip
