Hall Tutor (HT) and Non-Local Mentor (NLM) Recruitment 2022-2023
The Undergraduate Halls is recruiting Hall Tutors and Non-local Mentors for academic year 2022-2023.
We are searching for student leaders committed to work with us on maintaining the Undergraduate Halls as a safe, warm and supportive living-learning environment. Hall Tutors and Non-local Mentors will receive pre-service and on-the-job communication and skills training, as well as mentorship on personal development. Hall Tutors will be provided with free accommodation which could be used for meetings throughout the appointment period. All HKBU undergraduate and postgraduate students in the academic year 2022-2023 are welcome.

[UG] Virtual Glocal Culture Orienteering「義地連線」文化定向遊
Co-organised by HKBU Undergraduate Halls and VolTra. Would you like to “travel” to different countries and explore unknown cultures during the semester break? Here is a chance to meet overseas youths from Laos, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka etc. in 1 week and team-up to complete cultural exploration challenges! The best way to see the world under the pandemic and be connected to the global community through participating in fun online games with new friends. Join us to explore the unique culture from different countries and work together on projects echoing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals in this winter semester break! Open to all HKBU UG students, priority to Halls residents.

[UG] Community Engagement Organisers : Positive Ageing Learners Programme (CEOs- PAL)
Have you ever thought of serving the seniors in need in the neighboring community with the talents and gifts you have? According to the 2016 Hong Kong census, about 150,000 seniors aged 65 and above live alone, and almost 300,000 elderly live with their spouse. Seniors in social isolation under the pandemic is vulnerable to loneliness, and loneliness is both a contributing factor, and a result, of many physical and mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and even cognitive decline.
