Introduction

Coaching, Organization Development, and Engagement (CODE) Programme is a series of tailor-made training sessions for officers of student organizations. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills that are essential to the development of student organizations. This May, two CCL recognized workshops will be organized for student officers to share the smart tips in protecting their societies as well as their fellow members.

Coaching, Organization Development, and Engagement (CODE) Programme 是一系列為學生組織幹事度身訂造的訓練講座及工作坊,為學生提供於籌劃活動時及發展其學會時所需要的知識及實用技巧。五月下旬,兩節聯通課程CCL認可的工作坊邀請了專業人士向學生幹事講解在籌辦活動時,如何作出良好的管理規劃和執行守則,以為其學會及會員提供最佳保障。詳情如下:

Description
Issues of data protection and equal opportunities, including potential sexual harassment and discrimination, are highly relevant to student organizations. Real examples relevant to student organizations would be shared by the trainer so that student officers will not fall into unlawful traps while organizing activities for your members.

Rewards

Each student organization is required to send representative(s) to attend BOTH workshops. To encourage your participation, a reward scheme has been established. Student organizations, which have sent representatives to attend both workshops in accordance to the following table, would be eligible for the corresponding number of rewards:
CODE現邀請所有學生組織幹事參與,包括仍然在任的2018-2019幹事及已經在任/即將就任的2019-2020幹事,每個學生組織均須派代表出席兩個工作坊。為了鼓勵同學的參與,學生事務處為CODE新設了獎勵計劃,每個學生組織如安排以下人數共同參與兩節工作坊,可以獲得相應的獎勵:

Advanced Venue Booking for Orientation Activities
為迎新活動優先預留場地

Student organizations can book ONE venue up to 60 calendar days in advance for ONE of their orientation activities*, subject to venue availability. This reward is applicable to venues under the management of SA only.

學生組織可以於60日前為其一項迎新活動*優先預留一個場地。此獎勵只適用於學生事務處所管理的場地

Additional Funding Subsidies towards Orientation Activities
為迎新活動取得額外資助

Student organizations would be allocated for an additional 30% subsidies on top of their entitlement when applying for one of the funding schemes “Subsidy towards Orientation CampsOR Campus Inclusion Activities Programme” for their orientation activities*.

Student organizations would be able to claim the subsidies according to the number of attendees or related expenses of their orientation activities. The additional subsidies would not exceed the amount spent on the activities. Moreover, student organizations would have to follow the instructions on the funding schemes and timely submit their activity reports as well as supporting documents in order to obtain the grant.

學生組織在為迎新活動*申請資助(Subsidy towards Orientation Camps” 或 “Campus Inclusion Activities Programme”)時,可以在其中一項資助計劃中獲得額外30%的資助。資助將按參與人數或活動相關支出計算,額外的資助不會超過活動的總開支。另外,學生組織需按資助申請指引按時遞交活動報告及證明文件以獲資助。

*Orientation activities refer to those activities primarily targeted at welcoming freshmen. Common examples including orientation camps and orientation nights. 
*迎新活動指以歡迎新生的活動為主,一般例子包括迎新營及迎新夜

擬參與工作坊的學生組織內閣成員及/或代表必須在截止日期報名

Student organizations that are unable to send any representatives to attend the two workshops above will have to write to us in email with justifications before the application deadline. Officers would then be required to attend a series of make-up trainings.

學生組織如因事未能派出任何代表參與兩節工作坊,必須在截止日期前電郵本處並提供理由,而有關組織的幹事必須參與一系列的培訓活動。
