[HKBU International Association] Cultural Night

Hong Kong Baptist University's International Association (IA) recently hosted a cultural event entitled "Cultural Night" on 31 March at the 3/F Podium, Academic and Administration Building. Supported by the Funding of the Global Engagement Squad of the Office of Student Affairs and in collaboration with the Cultural Weeks organised by the Undergraduate Halls, the event marked the first large-scale event organised by the IA in three years due to the pandemic.

The Cultural Night served as the closing event for the Cultural Weeks, with booths representing 11 countries and regions, serving different cultural food with cultural colour decoration. The booths and performances were prepared by students from different countries and regions.

Attendees were treated to a range of cultural performances, including singing, dancing, and a national instrument from Kazakhstan. The event provided an opportunity for students to learn more about different cultures, promote cultural exchange, and showcase their talents.

The event was a huge success, with a strong turnout from both local and international students. The Office of Student Affairs expressed their appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the students who organised the event, as well as their commitment to promoting multiculturalism and diversity on campus. It serves as a testament to the resilience and determination of the IA and the students involved in organising the event, overcoming the challenges posed by the pandemic to deliver a memorable cultural experience for all in attendance.
