The Convocation ceremony marks an important tradition of the University to celebrate the beginning of the academic year. The 65th Convocation will be held on 8 September 2020. At the Convocation, the President of the University will give valuable address to students. University services and life will be explained during the session. Some persons that new students should know will be introduced.

All Year 1 students are highly encouraged to participate in the Convocation to witness and to begin your first University day. Other students if interested can also register at the following link.

Students who have successfully registered for the event will receive a system-generated confirmation email within 10 calendar days after their registration. A separate email with the Zoom link will be sent to students on or before 7 September 2020. The Zoom link should be kept by and used by the successfully registered student only.

With successful prior registration online, undergraduate students attending the full Convocation will be counted as fulfilling one unit of the Co-curricular Learning (CCL). For those who have attended late or left early from the event, their attendance at the event will NOT be counted.

Places at the live broadcast will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Logging in the Zoom link for the online Convocation will require HKBU SSOid account and access 10 minutes prior to the event.
