Review of the Maximum CCL Unit Cap for CCL-recognised Online Modules

19 DEC 2019

CCL-recognised online modules have been offered to students, and their latest provision includes:

  1. 11 eCourses on psychological competence offered by Counselling and Development Centre, Office of Student Affairs
  2. 3 The HKBU Business Entrepreneurship Support and Training (BEST) Programme online training modules offered by Knowledge Transfer Office

Links to the above online modules are at https://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/ccl/student/how-to-register.

Though online modules are an option to acquire CCL units, students are encouraged to join CCL activities in person to increase their interaction with professionals and fellow students and their participation in campus life. Therefore, a maximum cap of CCL units allowed for completing CCL-recognised online modules is adopted. Completion of 1 CCL-recognised online module will grant 1 CCL unit, and the reviewed cap is as follows:

  • 3 CCL units will be counted in maximum for the eCourses/ online modules within the whole study period.
  • 2 CCL units will be counted in maximum for the eCourses/ online modules within the whole study period in the case of self-funded undergraduate (top-up degree) students.

Student may refer to https://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/ccl/student/ccl-record for the specific rules of CCL unit calculation.
