Important notice

Owing to the outbreak of the new virus, on campus teaching/learning activities are suspended and face-to-face consultation is not advised. 
Still, career counselling/advising services will be offered via other means (e.g. zoom meetings, WhatsApp video calls, or other modes of communication). 
We will try our best to provide career services to those who need career assistance in this critical period.  Thank you for your attention.

Making Appointment

  1. Online registration (https://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/portal/career/enrollment/)
    (i)   Select the webpage of ‘CV/Interview Clinics’ and choose the date you prefer to meet career advisor.

    (ii)  After registration, an email with QR Code will be sent to you immediately to confirm your online enrollment.

  2. Confirmation of your clinic session
    (i)   You will be contacted via email/phone call to confirm the details of the clinic session
          (e.g. date/time-slot). A 30 minute individual session will be arranged for you.

    (ii)  For AM session:  9:30am-10:00am, 10:00am-10:30am; 10:30am-11:00am;
                                          11:30am-12:00am; 12:00am-12:30am


    (iii)  For PM session:  2:30pm-3:00pm, 3:00pm-3:30pm, 3:30pm-4:00pm,
                                            4:30pm-5:00pm, 5:00pm-5:30pm
  3. Submission of documents (e.g. CV, cover letter, or personal statements, job advertisement)
    (i)   You will be contacted for submission of your CV and other documents (softcopy)

    (ii)  Online enrollment without submission of your CV and documents in advance
           will NOT be considered for joining the CV clinic.
  4. Deadline of registration/submission of documents
    (i)   Owing to limited quota of consultation sessions in a month, please make the online registration
           and complete the reservation procedure as soon as you receive the email/phone call from our
           Centre. Appointments will be arranged on first-come-first-served basis.

    (ii)  Deadline of registration is one day before the date of the service offered (e.g. If the Clinic is offered on
          5 January(PM), the deadline for registration will be 4 Jan (12nn); If the Clinic is offered on 5 January (AM),
          the deadline for registration will be 4 January (9am))
    . This arrangements allow sufficient time for our career
          advisors to read your documents and prepare for the clinic sessions. Of course, no guarantee for the
          ‘last minute’ enrollment as very limited quota is available.

    (iii) No “Walk in” service.
  5. Punctuality/Attendance
    (i)   Punctuality is essential. Being late will only shorten your consultation time. Please contact our Centre
           at 3411-7440 or email at matthew@hkbu.edu.hk for any urgent matters.
  6. Dress code/ Language
    (i)   Dress up formally and professionally for the mock interview.
           Language used for mock interview will be decided by the interviewer.
