University Host Training Programme aims at grooming outstanding students to serve as University Hosts in university-wide events such as Employers' Luncheon, Info Day, STEPS to BSE, etc. Extensive practicum opportunities are provided to students to practice their networking and public speaking skills by being an event host or a MC. Mentoring element is also incorporated in the programme to make it more fruitful.

Duration: September to April

University Hosts will be given plenty of opportunities to meet and network with executives, company representatives and HR personnel in different occasions to enhance their communication and networking skills.


University Hosts will have chances to serve as a MC for university events. Individual coaching for public speaking skills will be provided.


As a university host, you will have chance to take up important roles in various internal and external events to gain hands on experience. Here are some tentative events that you will be invited to.

How the programme works:

  • Shortlisted students will be included in the talent pool and will be invited to take up exclusive roles in various events according to your interests and availability
  • Individual MC coaching/ event management briefing will be provided before the event
