Banking Graduate Trainee Programme 2022 by The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has launched a new talent development programme, namely Banking Graduate Trainee Programme (the Programme).

The Programme aims to nurture and support career development of university graduates in (i) fintech, (ii) green and sustainable finance, and (iii) the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) business.  

Key Features
Participating banks will offer entry-level job positions in one of the three business / function streams:
i.           Fintech;
ii.          Green and sustainable finance and
iii.         GBA business

The graduate trainees are entry-level employees of the participating banks.  In addition to in-house training, professional training will be organised by the HKMA and The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers.
 
Eligibility
Hong Kong residents graduating with a bachelor’s degree or above from local universities and those outside Hong Kong in 2021 or 2022. 

Job Opportunities
Around 30 participating banks will offer more than 120 entry-level positions related to fintech, green and sustainable finance, and GBA business for graduate trainees’ long-term professional development. Employment will generally start from 1 September 2022.
