Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) (for new students admitted to HKBU in 2022/23)28 OCT 2021 - 31 MAR 2022
To increase the access to University education for qualified students from traditionally under-represented Hong Kong communities, and to broaden the horizons of all students at HKBU through cross-cultural interactions, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has been offering the Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) since 2017/18, for deserved local ethnic minority students who are admitted to full-time UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes via JUPAS or non-JUPAS.
For 2022/23, the Scholarship will be funded by Village CARE Campaign under the title of “HKBU Village CARE Campaign Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students”.

HKBU Elite Athletes Admission Scheme (EAAS) has been established by HKBU to award local elite athletes who are admitted to full‐time UGC‐funded undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University via JUPAS or non‐JUPAS. Eligible applicants should have sport talent and achieved outstanding results in sport at admission. The scholarships are renewable for up to 4 years subject to the students’ academic results, good progress in sport training and performance as well as contributions to the Sport Leadership Programme.

Jointly sponsored and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission and HSBC, the Innovation and Technology Scholarship was established to provide outstanding undergraduates of Hong Kong the opportunities to widen their international exposure, gaining industry experience, and nurture their passion and commitment toward science and technology.
Twenty-five science undergraduates, to be nominated by the Presidents / Vice-Chancellors of local universities and selected by an Awardee Selection Committee, will each be awarded a scholarship of up to HKD150,000 for a series of learning programmes, including a) one or more Overseas / Mainland Attachment Programme between 1 June 2022 and 31 July 2023 (at least one of the trips must be longer than three weeks and at least one trip should be arranged to the Mainland); b) Mentorship Programme; c) Service Project Programme and d) Local Internship Programme (optional). For 2022, HKBU will nominate up to 3 students to compete for the Scholarship.

The Chang Group Scholarship Programme has been established to support outstanding local final year students who want to pursue post-graduate degree at an accredited university outside Hong Kong. The scholarship aims to cultivate young people’s ability to work across cultures and sectors, to think globally and act locally, and encourage them to pursue their passion, chart their own paths, and make a lasting impact on communities they serve. To promote the development of the self-financing post-secondary sector, the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) is set up by the HKSAR Government under the Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund to offer scholarships and awards to students pursuing full-time Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) in Accountancy (BCom Accountancy) programme at HKBU.For the 2021/22 academic year, there are three types of scholarships offered under the Scheme for the BCom Accountancy programme:
1) Outstanding Performance Scholarship (OPS): application is closed
2) Talent Development Scholarship (TDS): 5:30pm, 17 December 2021 (Friday)
3) Reaching Out Award (ROA): 5:30pm, 21 January 2022 (Friday)
