Au Bak Ling Charity Trust – Scholarship Scheme 2017/18
The Au Bak Ling Charity Trust has been established for the purpose of helping needy students studying to become teachers in Hong Kong. For the academic year 2017/18, 35 scholarships of HK$10,000 each are open for competition to all outstanding full-time undergraduates in Hong Kong with brilliant academic performance, especially those promising ones who require financial assistance. Applicants should be full-time undergraduates majoring in Education who study specifically to become teachers (UGC-funded programmes only). Applicants should have outstanding academic achievements (cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at HKBU), have financial needs and regard the teaching profession in Hong Kong as their life-long career.
Recipients of this scholarship will be required to use part of their leisure time to help screen the new applicants or to do other relative charitable work as the Trust sees fit.

Please note that section 8 of the form will be handled by the Office of Student Affairs, please do NOT invite other offices to complete section 8 for you.
The completed application form together with copies of the relevant supporting documents (including HKID card, student ID card, unofficial academic transcripts, and examination/qualification certificates) should be submitted to the SFA Unit of Office of Student Affairs at WLB 401 (Rm 401, Level 4, The Wing Lung Bank Building for Business Studies), Shaw Campus, at or before 5:30pm, November 3, 2017 (Friday).
Note: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances, such as extreme weather, that resulted in the sudden closure of SFA Counter on the day of the deadline, SFA will extend the deadline of application to 5:30pm of the following working day.
Late submission or submission with incomplete information will not be considered. Also, application form with e-signature, typed signature, scanned signature or signature not signed by applicant, and scanned or photocopy of application form will NOT be considered.
Short-listed candidates will be invited to attend the interview arranged by the Selection Board of the Au Bak Ling Charity Trust during mid-late January 2018. It is a "MUST" to attend the interview in Hong Kong. Students who cannot attend the interview due to exchange/ placement/ internship should NOT apply.
