Fee Waiver for Values Education Certificate Programme 2021/22 (Deadline: 22 Oct 2021)
The Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadership (“HKIIEL”) is pleased to offer 2 HKBU students to attend the Values Education Certificate Programme (VEC001, VEC002 and VEC003) for free in the academic year 2021/22. Without the tuition fee waiver, the 3 courses are valued at $4,500 in total. However, please note that NO money is awarded to the recipient (these are free lessons). The awarded students will take part in a series of Values Education Certificate courses offered by HKIIEL in collaboration with Lingnan University. The said Programme will enable the students to integrate values into their personal growth and career.
For more details of the course VEC001, please visit the website at: https://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/sfa/VEC001(21-22)_course_structure.pdf. Schedules for the courses VEC002 and VEC003 will be released in due course by HKIIEL. The Office of Student Affairs does not have such information at the moment.
Also, these are face-to-face courses, and VEC001 will take place at Wah Yan College (56 Waterloo Road, Kowloon). Do not apply if you are not physically in Hong Kong or are unable to travel to the venue to take the courses.
***Note that all courses are taught in Cantonese. Participants will need to fulfill the 80% attendance requirement for each and every course of VEC001, VEC002 and VEC003. Otherwise, they will be required to pay $1,500 as indemnity for each course.
Interested students should download the enrollment form and the Statement of Intention at http://sa.hkbu.edu.hk/sfa/Enrolment Form_Sttmt of Intention 2021-22.pdf, and submit both documents to the Office of Student Affairs, WLB 401 (Rm 401, Level 4, The Wing Lung Bank Building for Business Studies), Shaw Campus, at or before 5:30pm on 22 October 2021 (Friday).
In the event of unforeseeable circumstances, such as extreme weather, that resulted in the sudden closure of SFA Counter on the day of the deadline, SFA will extend the deadline of application to 5:30pm of the following working day.
Late submission or submission with incomplete information will not be considered.
HKIIEL will select the final awardees if more than 2 students applied for the fee waiver.
