HKSAR GOVERNMENT TALENT DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP & REACHING OUT AWARD 2012/13
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government has established two new scholarship awards, namely, the Talent Development Scholarship (TDS) and Reaching Out Award (ROA), to encourage and support students in pursuing all-round development, striving for excellence and broadening their horizons and international outlook. In the 2012/13 academic year, a total of 113 HKBU students will be awarded the TDS or ROA.
1) Talent Development Scholarship (TDS)
The Talent Development Scholarship, which is at HK$10,000 each, will be awarded to current full-time undergraduate students studying in any discipline (UGC-funded programmes only) to give recognition to those who have demonstrated achievements or talent in non-academic areas and provide support for them to further develop their talent and potential. 2) Reaching Out Award (ROA)
The Reaching out Award, which is also at HK$10,000 each, will be awarded to current full-time undergraduate students studying in any discipline (UGC-funded programmes only) who:
A student may be awarded the TDS more than once throughout his/her studies of the relevant programme, and each nomination will be considered based on individual merits. However, a student may only be awarded the ROA once throughout his/her studies of the relevant programme. For both TDS and ROA, local students will be considered first.

The completed application form together with copies of the relevant supporting documents (including academic transcripts, certificates/awards for competitions (if applicable), information on the outreaching programme (if applicable), etc.) should be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs, 8/F Yeung Shui Sang Building, Ho Sin Hang Campus, at or before 5:30pm, February 1, 2013 (Friday).
Partial submissions / late applications will NOT be considered.
All applications will be assessed by an internal selection panel. The selection results will be announced in April/ May 2013.
